Stallman said that a 17-year-old girl who allegedly was instructed by Epstein to have sex with AI pioneer Marvin Minsky likely seemed "entirely willing" to engage in the illegal act. He also argued it is unfair to call such an incident "sexual assault. A person on the email chain noted that the girl was 17 at the time, and that sex with a minor is statutory rape, Stallman replied, "I think it is morally absurd to define 'rape' in a way that depends on minor details such as which country it was in or whether the victim was 18 years old or 17."

A more notable point is that while she said that Epstein had instructed her to have sex with Marvin Minsky, she didn't conclude that with a statement that she actually did.

Marvin Minsky who was defended by eye witnesses shouldn't be harmed in any way either. May as well smear MIT forever for letting the guy have tons of access to the institution by accepting his money... As if they knew...like anybody else; although, as an org is more likely they ignore ethical issues than a real person would. MIT does DARPA work which is all about weapons etc. Government monetary punishments take tainted money all the time; and it spends that to do lots of things, some of the money does far worse than the criminals were doing with the money.
