An anonymous reader writes: Systemd Creator Launches Amutable for Linux Integrity.
Lennart Poettering, the creator of systemd, and Christian Brauner, a Linux kernel maintainer, just left Microsoft to launch Amutable. The company announced today it will “deliver verifiable integrity to Linux workloads everywhere” by replacing heuristic-based security with deterministic verification.
All three founders—Poettering, Brauner, and CEO Chris Kühl—came from Microsoft’s Linux infrastructure team, raising immediate questions about timing, IP ownership, and whether they’re building a Microsoft competitor or spinout.
