Associate Member Donations

byFree Software Foundation Contributions — Published on Feb 08, 2005 11:37 AM You can donate as a full associate member on a monthly or yearly basis. If you are a full-time student, you can donate at a discounted student rate. To help make the membership more accessible to all our supporters, and to accommodate people who are on a tighter financial budget, people from countries with a tough exchange rate, or those who have been affected by inflation and current economic challenges, we also offer a friends membership that comes with less benefits. Donations for monthly and annual memberships can be paid online with a credit card, with optional auto-renewal. For annual memberships, in addition to direct credit card payments online, you can donate with PayPal; or offline via check, money order, or wire transfer. As your situation changes, you can convert between the payment options below (standard, student, monthly, annual) or cancel your membership donation by contacting the FSF. You can donate as an associate member on a monthly or annual basis. All donations are in USD.

Due to processing fees, the friends associate membership can only be paid for annually. ACH billing for electronic bank account deductions is not yet available, but we hope to support this type of payment eventually.

Credit Card Payments

You can sign up for a monthly or annual membership donation with a credit card using the Join Now button. All credit card transactions are handled securely online. You can also set up your membership to auto-renew at the end of your current membership period. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB.

PayPal

You can sign up for an annual membership if you use PayPal. We are now set up to accept PayPal for monthly memberships.

Check and Money Order Payments

If you wish to sign up for an annual membership using a check or money order, please sign up for an account using the Join Now! button and select the appropriate payment method. Please send checks or money orders (payable to "Free Software Foundation, Inc.") for new annual memberships or renewals to: Membership Team Free Software Foundation 31 Milk Street, # 960789 Boston, MA 02196 USA Please be sure to write your username or member number on your check. You will receive an e-mail confirmation your donation has been processed. ●Associate Members are non-voting members of the Free Software Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Boston, MA, USA. ●If you cannot afford to contribute at the Associate Membership rates, you can make a traditional, USA-tax-deductible online donation of a smaller amount instead.
