About us Founded in 2008, Phusion creates top of the line server software to power businesses like Apple and Intercom. People who have upgraded to macOS High Sierra and who are using a preforking app server such as Puma or Unicorn (with the right settings), may have noticed this error: objc[81924]: +[__NSPlaceholderDictionary initialize] may have been in progress in another thread when fork() was
Summary: After upgrading to macOS Sierra and using SSH to login to an SSH server, I noticed that the passphrase for my SSH key has been permanently remembered by the system. That is, after rebooting the system, SSH still knows the passphrase for my SSH key, such that I do not need to enter any passphrase to log in to my SSH hosts anymore. This permanent storage of my passphrase was done by default

Apple has lost the functional high ground“のコメント欄に元AppleのOS Xエンジニアと現Appleエンジニアが書き込んで意見を交わしているとTUAWなどが紹介しています(HackerNewsは匿名性なの話半分ですが)。 Former OS X deve
Your Yosemite upgrade may take many hours if you’ve got anything non-Apple in your /usr folder (Homebrew, Texlive, or Mactex for example). If you got here by googling for “Yosemite install stuck” or “one minute remaining” it’s too late to speed it up… but don’t turn off your computer, let it finish. This will only materially impact your speed if you’ve got hundreds of thousands of files in /usr/lo
