Mac user Chanpory cleared his desktop of a "zillion random files," placed them into 5 folders based on the Getting Things Done system - and interestingly - prefixed the name of each with a number for easy Quicksilver access. The folders are named "0 - Inbox" through "4 - Archive." To access them using Quicksilver (or any keyboard interface), invoke QS and type 0-4 to get to the folder in one keyst
If you’ve heard about Quicksilver but have been too timid to familiarize yourself with it, or to peek under the hood a bit, this screencast is for you! Perhaps too often, we (as in the collective web) focus our attention on the cutting edge features of Quicksilver. The MacApper weblog has a detailed post on how you can use Lifehacker-favorite Quicksilver to control iTunes. I touched on controlling iTunes with Quicksilver previously in my advanced Quicksilver guide, but this post covers more of the nitty gritty necessary to install the iTunes plug-in and configure powerful triggers (it's also a good general tutorial for using Quicksilver triggers).
