Help me fact-check my works!

Although I try my best to be as accurate as possible, mistakes are inevitable. This is a solo operation fueled solely by passion. Should you identify any inaccuracies or have suggestions for improvement, please don't hesitate to reach out via my discussion page.  : )

Requests
If you happen to possess data for these elections, please shoot me a message

2. Hong Kong LegCo elections by districts pre-2000

3. South Korean presidential elections by municipalities pre-1997

Current Focus
I'm currently focusing on redesigning some of my older maps. Some of the points of interest include raising readability & intuitiveness, replacing pie charts, removing excessive information (such as full names of parties & party leaders), a consistent style, better base maps, bilingualism (native+English) when applicable, etc.

Below is an incomplete set of my past works. Not all of my maps and visualizations are included, for various reasons.

Brazil's partisan political landscape is one of the most fragmented in the world. In the 2018 general election, the largest party in its lower house, the Workers Party (PT), won only 11% of the total seats. Partly because of its state-wide at large party-list proportional representation system, a staggering 29 parties won at least one seat. This extreme level of party proliferation, unfortunately, renders an effective visual presentation of legislative election results challenging.

General Election Results

[edit]

Election data for older elections are sourced from the Diet Library’s online photocopies. I couldn’t find the precise boundaries of some of the city constituencies pre-1928. I’ve also unfortunately lost the spreadsheet I compiled of pre-war elections. Since 1928 was the beginning of universal male suffrage, it’s a reasonable enough cutoff point for the time being.

In the long run, I wish to rework some of these maps for bilingual texts, more precise boundaries, 5% intervals, better color schemes, and better legends, and remove pie charts which are hard to read.

These maps are too rudimentary and the shapes weren't minified, resulting in bloated file sizes. I’ll be remaking them in time.
