Abtenau (Central Bavarian: Obtenau) is a market town in the Hallein DistrictofSalzburginAustria. The municipality is located in Lammertal, Tennengau, about 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of Salzburg and encompasses the entire middle valley of the Lammer.
