Bu was king of Gija Joseon from 232 BC to 220 BC. His personal name was Gibu (Hangul: 기부, Hanja: 基否). His posthumous name was King Jong Tong (Hangul: 종통왕, Hanja: 宗統王). He was succeeded by Jun of Gojoseon.[1]

There are some merchants observed in Korea and its neighboring countries. And in that Joseon, throne was acceded from King Bu to Jun Wang who was the last king. That Joseon is so-called Gija Josen."
