The Cuatro Ciénegas killifish (Lucania interioris; also known locally as the sardinilla de Cuatro Ciénegas)[2] is an endangered species[1]offish in the family Cyprinodontidae. It is endemictoCuatro CiénegasinMexico,[3] where it exists in severely fragmented habitats within the valley.[1]
