Gutierrezia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to western North America and western South America.[4] Plants of this genus are known generally as snakeweedsormatchweeds.[5][1][6][7][8][9] Some species have been called greasewood.[10] They are annualorperennial plantsorsubshrubs with yellow or white flowers.[4]
