James Allen Asher (born October 31, 1972) is an American former professional football player who was a tight end for the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL).[1] He played high school footballatWarren Central High SchoolinIndianapolis. He played college football for the Louisville Cardinals, earning first-team All-American honors in 1994. He was selected in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL Draft with the 137th overall pick.[2]
