Wypler was born on May 3, 2001, in Englewood, New Jersey.[1] He grew up in Dunellen, New Jersey, and attended Saint Joseph Regional High School.[2] Wypler committed to play college football for the BuckeyesatOhio State University.[3]
Wypler played in one game during his true freshman season at Ohio State before redshirting the season.[4] He was named the Buckeyes starting center entering his redshirt freshman season.[5][6] Wypler started 13 games and an honorable mention on the 2021 All-Big Ten team.[7] He was named third-team All-Big Ten as a redshirt sophomore.[8]

Wypler was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round, 190th overall, of the 2023 NFL draft.[10]
'Being around St. Joseph my whole life, this school has done so much for me,' said Wypler, 18, a resident of Ho-Ho-Kus.
