On television, she is best known for her role as Ida GreenberginDesperate Housewives (2004–2007). She also had recurring roles on daytime soap operas General Hospital and Days of Our Lives.[2] She has appeared in feature films, including Sister Act and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.
Brown was a resident of the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California, where she died on July 2, 2019, 3 days after her 90th birthday.[3]
Brown was a self-described lifelong Democrat and a practicing Roman Catholic.[4]
