Pedasa (Ancient Greek: Πήδασα or τὰ Πήδασα), also known as PedasusorPedasos (Πήδασος),[1] and as Pedasum,[2] was a town of ancient Caria. It was a polis (city-state) by c. 400 BCE.[3] Alexander the Great deprived the place of its independence by giving it over to the Halicarnassians, together with five other neighbouring towns.[2]
It was a member of the Delian League.[4]
Its site is near the modern Gökçeler.[5][6]
