Argyns are not of Mongol descent

edit

Name like Argyn, Argun, Arguň, Arqun, etc. is met in many places outside Mongolia and it is of turkic origin, since it was present among servants of Rus before Mongol Invasion [information from the book『Другая История Руси』(Another History of Rus'), S. Valyanskiy, D. Kalyuzhniy). Chinese sources mention Bai-Egu and A-lung tribes. Which are Ulug-Argun and Argun tribes respectively. Rashid-Eddin mentions that Argun were mongol, however this doesn't mean they weren't present among turkic peoples before and in Sh. Kudayberdy-uly's book it is said that Argun people are descendants of Ho-Ho (Uyghurs). Plus their name is translated as『Er-hün』(Man-hun, or Man-soul i.e. humans, men, or simply "men by souls" or "manly souls"\"manly people"\"people"). Pronounciation of "hün"\"ğun" instead of "sün"\"sän"\"jan" prooves that these people were of northern turkic origin. Most of Middle-Juz tribes among Kazakh people are of uyghur\eastern-turkic\hunnic origin, not of mongolian. Iliassh (talk) 13:29, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
