Why is atrophy in the sense of loosing muscles taking place when one is dieting wrong, and how can it be prevented? --Abdull 22:08, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
1 - 'Brain Atrophy' is listed but no explanation is given.
2 - 'Breast Atrophy' is listed but it also says "Atrophy of the testes occurs with prolonged use of enough exogenous sex steroid (either androgen or estrogen) to reduce gonadotropin secretion", which has nothing to do with the breasts. This phrase should be removed or the atrophy name changed.
This article needs more information in general.
Perhaps a discussion regarding atrophy of skin (like with use of longterm topical steroids) could be added? Kilbad (talk) 02:04, 16 October 2008 (UTC) just to let u know i am human and not an animal! imao I actually am the only person in the UK TO HAVE SUB CUTANEOUS FAT TISSUE ATROPHY which is severely affecting me correlating with sjogren's syndrome, hyperthyroidism and severe insomnia! I was 150kg in weight and now down to 69-i don't know if i am going to die yet, but when i was told i was losing weight, well - i was damned happy until i found out it was this awful disability! I want people to contact me who have similar to me,i need 15 more people to link up with WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION....then this disease becomes known, and oh boy, do i know what it is to suffer! substiting food with the fat loss was a good idea to begin with, but, two years later? not so good! please contact me mistymorningduo-@hotmail.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.67.26.134 (talk) 20:53, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
this i thought quite funny, because i am human - not a mouse or one of many mice!
Picture is unclear which mouse has atrophy, or if both have them. Changed to mice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.188.25.171 (talk) 01:05, 24 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
