The second sentence of the lead presently reads: "The general public knew little about Belle Stewart until 2006, when her daughter, Sheila Stewart, wrote the biography Queen Amang the Heather: the Life of Belle Stewart". The general public probably knows little about most "folk" musicians - they are a niche corner of the music world. Considering "The Stewarts of Blair" came out on the premier folk label of the day (Topic) in 1965 and was later followed by 2 further albums on that label, I would have thought she was fairly well known at least in that genre. I think the present lead does her somewhat of a disservice and could be adjusted accordingly... I may have a go at some point but others are welcome to leap in.
