I noticed this article got tagged with a US centric template and it doesn't seem that much is being done to provide the "world wide point of view" so I'm wondering should we move and re-title this page something like "NCAA Hockey?" ThoughtsJsonitsac (talk) 18:21, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Those maps are great but they are a little outdated and missing teams —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.239.180.57 (talk) 22:16, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I can't get it... Article says that Div-II doesn't exist in men's hockey but THERE IS Div-II conference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.80.6.146 (talk) 19:07, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Suggesting merging/redirecting NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey to this article. Seems like an unnecessary content fork to me, largely duplicated information in an orphaned and less-developed article. Grsz 11 05:49, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

This article is written almost entirely from the USA viewpoint. The article needs a major re-write to work in Canadian colleges, Canadian universities (which in have different governing bodies), and the NCAA. The term "college ice hockey" is very broad, and creating separate articles might be a better answer. Dolovis (talk) 00:13, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Need to update the Hockey D1 Map image - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hockey_d1.png Notre Dame is now in the Big 10 and UConn has moved conferences as well — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurt hamel (talk • contribs) 17:57, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
This map needs some major changes but I don't have the skills to do so. Here is what I found so far:
Teams in Wrong Conference: Notre Dame should be in Big Ten, UConn should be in Hockey East (as stated above)
Missing Team: Long Island University (Independent)
Future Teams: University of St. Thomas (2021), Lindenwood University (2022)
Conference realignment: Seven teams (Bemidji State, Bowling Green, Ferris State, Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Minnesota State, Northern Michigan) from the WCHA will form the new iteration of the CCHA in 2021-2022. The WCHA will likely become inactive. Teams in limbo: Alabama Huntsville has ended their hockey program; reopening the program is dependent upon acceptance into Atlantic Hockey 2021-2022. Alaska-Anchorage has ended heir hockey program; reopening the program is dependent upon fundraising. Alaska-Fairbanks is likely to continue as an independent, but that has not been announced yet. Also, Tennessee State University and Illinois State are looking into adding programs, but they shouldn't be put on the map unless they announce they are doing so.
Minor Quibble: "Rochester Tech" should be stylized as "RIT"
Once completed, the map can also replace the old map on the following page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NCAA_Division_I_ice_hockey_programs In addition to having many of the same problems, that map has even more such as switching the geographic location of Clarkson and St. Lawrence. 173.69.139.43 (talk) 15:03, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
