The Daily Jolt was a forerunner to sites like Facebook, and an important piece of Internet history. The article as it exist at the moment is a stub, because I'm prepping the materials to finish it. Leave it alone until I have a chance to finish it and link in the citations.

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because at one time Daily Jolt was an active website on many college campuses with 100s of users in dozens of campuses. In addition to hosting forums and party-pics for each college, the site also hosted cross campus forums and that led to the creation of a dedicated but transient community of college-going individuals discussing politics, gaming, technology etc. The site came to an end as Facebook gained in popularity. The Daily Jolt played an important albeit brief role as an online forum-based social networking outlet exclusively for college campuses. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.224.77.214 (talk) 04:33, 26 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
