is it wrong to say that in lay man terms Formative context is just 'every day workplace routine' and that getting into this cycles of policy and routine can inhibit the realization of the full productivity of staff ? Kendirangu (talk) 22:04, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't quite understand the second part of your question, but for the first part, formative context is not just everyday routine, but rather the structures that govern those routines. To use your example of the workplace, the everyday routine might be going into the office/factory and performing a task. The formative context is the structural framework that creates a social hierarchy of task definers and task executers that enables that everyday routine to occur.Archivingcontext (talk) 03:19, 5 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
