I'm just wondering... this sentence "Its first Secretary General was Sir Gladwyn Jebb." stood under establishment and i'm not sure that is right. i thought it was the norwegian Trygve Lie who was the first Secretary General. Anyone else who has the same point of view?

Of course it was TL. This 'article' is hilariously inaccurate (and tendentious) throughout.

Image:Romulo UNCharter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

The third sentence says that "the UN was largely paralyzed by the veto of the Soviet Union when dealing with Cold War issues from 1947 to 1989." This is a big claim to make right at the top of the article and, especially without any citation whatsoever, warns the reader that the rest of the article may have significant anti-Soviet bias. 129.97.124.1 (talk) 18:04, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
