I have removed the reference to the street in Vandercook Lake, Michigan, because I believe it is an error. Despite its proximity to Jackson College, it seems to be a coincidence. When I used to work at Jackson College, I was told that the street had nothing to do with James McDivitt. Although I cannot provide a citation showing that it is not named for him, I will point out that it is spelled different: "McDevitt" with an E. If someone has a citation showing that there is a McDivitt street in Vandercook Lake named for James McDivitt, then of course it should be re-included. According to its page the 35th Bombardment Squadron was inactivated on 27 June 1949, so he can't have flown with it during the Korean War. Should this be 35th Fighter Squadron?Mztourist (talk) 08:06, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
