No Criticism section?

edit

Why is there no Criticism section regarding the blatant racism regarding Si and Am as asian stereotypes, in particular the Yellow peril? I mean, I looked up "racism in lady and the tramp" on Google and there were plenty of results!--Mr. Guye (talk) 19:50, 22 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request, grammar correction

edit

Edit request July 14 2016: Could the original line: "Aunt Sarah's two trouble-making Siamese cats, Si and Am, trick her into thinking that Lady attacked them with the house a mess" be changed to "Aunt Sarah's two trouble-making Siamese cats, Si and Am, deliberately mess up the house and trick her into thinking that Lady attacked them" because the sentence structure and grammar are a little confusing. KellyLeighC (talk) 19:36, 14 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Also, it wasn't a pack of stray dogs that attacked Lady, as there were only three. Therefore, the proper word use would be "a trio of stray dogs".

Connection to song "The Lady Is A Tramp"

edit

I assume that the title of the film and the conceptualization of the character names is in some sense derived from, or a reference to, the popular song "The Lady Is A Tramp" (1937). If a source can be found for this it would be good to note it in the article. Rfontana (talk) 20:08, 19 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Aunt Sarah NOT Darling's Sister

edit

Aunt Sarah is Darling's aunt, not her sister. She's far too old to be Darling's sister, for a start. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:645:C300:3189:C5AC:58F6:1CE9:37F4 (talk) 22:53, 11 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp

edit

I saw on Variety on the Internet Archive that Peter Pan and Lady and Tramp grossed $7 million and $6.5 respectively so why does this article say that his film took any higher box office figure since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? --Evope (talk) 05:16, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Lady and the Tramp is also based on the same name on the novel by Ward Greene in 1953

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The sources in the article say it is based on Ward Green's story in a magazine. RudolfRed (talk) 03:41, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

The voices of Lady's daughters

edit

In the end of the film, two of the four puppies of Lady and Tramp reply "No you haven't, Uncle Trusty", while the third Cocker Spaniel shakes her head. However, what I find confusing is that on the Disney Wiki, it says that they were voiced by Barbara Luddy. I'm not sure if that's true though because I think it's just a guess. Pretty sure they're just uncredited children or whatsoever. If anyone knows their voices, let me know. 2A04:4A43:8EEF:FEAA:35FA:E0F3:BBF4:67E4 (talk) 12:07, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

The plot section doesn't mention that the Rat in the climax already had precedents with Lady. 151.34.68.237 (talk) 23:54, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
