If I am correct, the MU90 is exact same diameter, near same length as a US-built Mark 46 or Mark 50. Is the shipboard triple over the side laucher (picture on article page) exactly the same for either one?(looks like it to me) What inputs/digital signals does this weapon need in comparison to the US-built Mark 46 or Mark 50? such that a yes answer means any ship/nation could load either the US Mk46/50 or the MU90 and still properly launch it with their weapons system / electronics? This week, there was an article on news.com.au about the claimed first live-firing of an armed and explosive ('warshot') MU90 torpedo. Can anyone clarify (preferably with an independent source) confirm that this is the first time that someone has stuck some 'boom' inside an MU90 and launched it off the side of a ship, or if some sort of qualifier (possibly first 'by a RAN vessel') needs to be attached to the statement.
