Duke in Bavaria

edit

Does anyone know the difference between the titles "Duke of Bavaria" and "Duke in Bavaria"? Coemgenus 21:25, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind. There's actually an article about Duke in Bavaria that explains it well enough. Coemgenus 21:27, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Successor

edit

The article says Because Max has no sons, the right to be called head of the former Bavarian Royal House will pass after his death to a cousin, Prince Luitpold of Bavaria or to Luitpold's son, Prince Ludwig of Bavaria, and his descendants. but the succession box says that Prince Ludwig of Bavaria (b.1913) will succeed him as titular King of Bavaria. That looks like a contradiction to me. I tried switching the link in the succession box but was reverted. This should probably be explained better or the successor better disambiguated since birth years are not the way it's usually done in Wikipedia. Eluchil404 07:22, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Move discussion in progress

edit

There is a move discussion in progress on Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 22:46, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
