http://shekoudaily.com/blog/new-website-for-reporting-foreign-spies-or-criminals-in-china.html (and the English version of https://www.12339.gov.cn/message/message) state that "No. 9, Dongdajie, Qianmen, Dongcheng District, Beijing" is a place where the MSS has an office but I do not know if this is the agency's HQ WhisperToMe (talk) 00:26, 31 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
As the CCP predates 1949, significant intelligence/espionage history exists for the MSS in the communist intelligence organizations run by Zhou Enlai against Chiang Kai-shek's nationalists.
I intend to add information from the late 1920s through 1949 sourced primarily from Chinese Spies: From Chairman Mao to Xi Jinping concerning the CCP's civilian espionage and intelligence organizations (and other sources that present themselves) following my edits to the Intelligence Bureau of the Joint Staff Department but I would be open to discussion, suggestions, or criticism of the proposed historical addition. Thanks! RightQuark (talk) 19:12, 10 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@User:Abovfold you reverted my edit which said the “popular culture” part of the article appeared to be a trivia section. [1] Can you explain? Stormandfury (talk) 14:21, 18 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
The real current MSS logo has a globe around it. I have sourced File:MSS globe logo.png. It has been seen on awards, at press conferences, in propaganda, and inside and outside MSS facilities. I think that is conclusive unless evidence emerges to the contrary. - Abovfold (talk) 23:45, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
