Image:Herbie hancock River the joni letters front cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Wouldn't that be 1991's Back on the Block and not Getz/Gilberto? Did Hancock specifically mention Getz/Gilberto in his acceptance speech? Hakob (talk) 08:45, 15 February 2008 (UTC) Wouldn't that be 1995's MTV Unplugged: Tony Bennett? Methinks Mr Hancock is confused. Gareth E Kegg (talk) 11:25, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
The ref. link to "Hancock Steals Grammy Album of Year" is broken (links to "no page found"). Tonymci2 (talk) 18:10, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Last edit states Lara Fabian featuring on this album??? Anyone can confirm this?--Dongiello (talk) 08:41, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I question the relevance of this (syntactically tortured) sentence: "Since River received the Album of the Year award, no other act of Afro-American or black ethnicity has won the category, which is considered the main at Grammys, that has lasted for 13 years to date." The referenced source says that black artists have won 20 of 62 best album awards. What's so special about a 13 year gap? Correlation isn't causation. Is it really necessary to inject cheap racial politics in EVERY subject? Mikeroetto (talk) 21:24, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
The Wikipedia page for Album of the Year lists Black-Eyed Peas among the 2010 winners of this award -- only two years later. Which claim should we believe? (note: this is my first comment on Talk, so I don't know how to link my Wikipedia ID). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ocsirpeoj (talk • contribs) 23:15, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
