Examples

edit

I think that the examples section should be removed. Many many battles have ended in a rout -- it is probably the most common outcome of a pitched battle -- So giving just a few examples is bound to be a POV list, or a very big list, neither of which add to a readers understanding of the term and IMHO is determental to the quality of the article. If an example of two is needed to elucidate how routs have varied over time then interlace them into the text. Two examples which spring to mind are cavalry attacks by Seventh Coalition forces on the French after the Battle of Waterloo and Colition aircraft attacks on the Highway of Death in 1991--Philip Baird Shearer 12:25, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation

edit

Due to DAB removal both retreat and withdrawal now point to the same article. Please fix this. Thanks -Catneven 15:03, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
