Status of +7 6 range of numbers

edit

One of the tables shows the +7 6 range as numbers in Kazakhstan. However, as of this writing, all numbers in Kazakhstan begin with +7 7, and there is no mention of +7 6 in any ITU documentation or anywhere else that I can find. The +7 7 range still has abundant capacity for all of Kazakhstan's numbering needs, so I see no need to have +7 6 reserved. Lincmad (talk) 04:02, 24 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Local number length

edit

The header says Russia has a closed numbering plan, but the second on local numbers claim the local number length varies from 5-7.

This *is* possible if (and only if) the "real" area codes vary accordingly, e.g. if the number is +7 377 2222222 one could imagine that dialling 33333 would reach +7 377 2233333 and that calling +7 377 4444444 would require dialling 8 377 4444444 or some other "regional" prefix (e.g. 9 4444444).

However, this would seem unlikely without additional documentation. 2601:646:8002:4641:2AC9:F6C1:E225:44E4 (talk) 17:35, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
