This template is used for displaying a date in both Old Style and New Style, including a discreet link to the article Adoption of the Gregorian calendar, in cases where the year differs between the Old Style and the New Style.

  • Result: 10 January 1706 [O.S. 30 December 1705]

• Usage: {{OldStyleDateDY|January 10,|1706|December 30, 1705}}
  • Result: January 10, 1706 [O.S. December 30, 1705]

• {{OldStyleDate}} – for cases where the year is the same in the Old Style and the New Style
  • Example: 2 February [O.S. 20 January] 1905

• {{OldStyleDateNY}} – for cases that require only the day and month, not the year
  • Example: 13 October [O.S. 2 October]
