How did I get here? It started innocently enough, with a friend sending me a small entertaining anectode about a minor current event, lifted from an article in the press. It did amuse me but also sent me to Wikipedia to learn more about the background of the event. This led to more questions than answers, and an urge to check out claims stated as facts and to share the truth - no, not the truth, but verifiable information culled from reliable sources - with others ...
