Alone in the Wilderness is a documentary of the story of One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey, which details the retirementofDick ProennekeinTwin Lakes, Alaska (Lake Clark National Park and Preserve).
In 1967, Dick Proenneke flew to Twin Lakes, Alaska, to assess an area to build a log cabin.[1] In 1968, he used a 16 mm wind-up Bolex camera, he documented the cabin construction (using only hand tools) alongside nature and the wilderness.[1] Narration is excerpted from the journals (One Man’s Wilderness) kept by Proenneke.[2]
