Totok Amin Soefijanto, Ed.D Deputy Rector for Academics, Research, and Student Affairs Universitas Paramadina, Jakarta, Indonesia


Dr. Soefijanto was born in Makassar, South Sulawesi. He holds an Ed.D (Doctor of Education) in curriculum & teaching from Boston University, an MA (Masters of Arts) in Communication Studies from Emerson College in Boston, and an Engineering degree in Agro-industrial Technology from IPB, Bogor. During his doctorate study, he worked as a research assistant at the Harvard Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research in Cambridge, MA, in 2002-2005. He was a journalist for almost 11 years in three weekly news magazines in Jakarta (1986-1997), before pursuing graduate degrees in the US on Fulbright, Ford, and Kelly E. Stephens Memorial Scholarships. Since 2009, he has been serving as member of management committee of Knowledge Sector Development in the National Planning Board (Bappenas), and head supervisor of the Southeast Asia Peace Lab. His research are mainly on higher education, quality assurance & professional standards in teaching, ethics & moral education, political communication, integrated marketing communications, and conflict resolutions. He is married and has two daughters.
