I just had a very weird encounter I wanted to bring to your attention. You might recall the interactions during this sockpuppet investigation that included me being hounded by a particular IP, to the degree that you put in a partial block for them from my talkpage. A new account with whom I've never before interacted, and who has only been around for a week, referenced all of that in some detail here while making a personal attack. I'm not sure what to ask for, exactly, other than for an admin familiar with the previous situation to be aware. It's a very peculiar and specific thing for a week-old account to know about. I know I'm a bit of a hard-liner on this, but Contentious material about living persons (or, in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—must be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion. doesn't mean "not 168 hours." That article called someone a murderer, stalker, rapist, and more multiple times in wiki-voice without the support of the sources cited. Not that anyone has asked me, but this does serve as a reminder that WP:IAR exists and is a valid deletion rationale in cases where there is potential real-world harm and the article or draft doesn't quite fit a specific CSD rationale. Which AfD reason would that be then? It's a notable case, and AfD is not for cleanup. So that would be "complete deletion because it is a blatant BLP violation claiming that someone is a murderer when they aren't convicted yet". Gee, if only we had a speedy deletion criterion for that. No, Deepfriedokra (and BBB and anyone else declining such a speedy), next time you believe such a speedy should be declined and simply reinstate the old version, you should be dragged to ANI or blocked, as you are then reinstating blatant BLP violations instead of addressing them in any way at all. Hey, it looks from the logs that you were the admin that protected Rónán Mullen's article 6 years ago when it was requested. I'm asking how you'd feel about unprotecting it, per WP:UNPROTPOL. 6 years have passed since protection and nearly 4 since the last rejected pending change. The circumstances that led to the protection (Rónán's prominence during the 36th Amendment debate) have long since abated and I feel strongly that pages should be unprotected if not absolutely required.
