Recent changes

• At the Wikimedia Foundation a new task force was formed to replace the disabled Graph with more secure, easy to use, and extensible Chart. You can subscribe to the newsletter to get notified about new project updates and other news about Chart.
• The CampaignEvents extension is now available on Meta-wiki, Igbo Wikipedia, and Swahili Wikipedia, and can be requested on your wiki. This extension helps in managing and making events more visible, giving Event organizers the ability to use tools like the Event registration tool. To learn more about the deployment status and how to request this extension for your wiki, visit the CampaignEvents page on Meta-wiki.
• Editors using the iOS Wikipedia app who have more than 50 edits can now use the Add an Image feature. This feature presents opportunities for small but useful contributions to Wikipedia.
• Thank you to all of the authors who have contributed to MediaWiki Core. As a result of these contributions, the percentage of authors contributing more than 5 patches has increased by 25% since last year, which helps ensure the sustainability of the platform for the Wikimedia projects.

Problems

• A problem with the color of the talkpage tabs always showing as blue, even for non-existent pages which should have been red, affecting the Vector 2022 skin, has been fixed.

Future changes

• The Trust and Safety Product team wants to introduce temporary accounts with as little disruption to tools and workflows as possible. Volunteer developers, including gadget and user-script maintainers, are kindly asked to update the code of their tools and features to handle temporary accounts. The team has created documentation explaining how to do the update. Learn more.

Yes, I graduated in 1980 (B.A., Economics). I lived in Lewis Hall. My M.B.A. is from Loyola Chicago in 1982. It was before ND had a MBA program in downtown Chicago, otherwise I would have gone to ND for that also. At the time, they only had a full-time program in Indiana, and although I was accepted, I turned it down so I could move back to my hometown in the W. That's great! I hope you get to visit often. Also, if you're interested, the current Lewis Hall section Hall is severly lacking. I found good sources , but I don't have time to work on it. I know that in the past you've been an active Wikiproject Notre Dame. I am currently revamping the project and I'm looking for other people interested in contributing. We are in dire need, since Notre Dame has so much to be covered, but very few editors on it. There is so much to do, either adding content, or editing, or assessing. Hello Funandtrvl, I just wanted to thank you for your work for the WikiProject Notre Dame. I am currently making an effort to revamp it and improve all articles. I was wondering if you could help out, since any and all help is needed. If you want, you can check out the To Do list for the top priority, or take your own initiative and work on what's needed the most. The top priority articles in bad condition, like the colleges or the grotto, need a lot of help too. Additionally, photos or translation in other languages are also great.

WikiProject Wikipedians aged 70 and older has been inactive for some time. The following three proposals may help invigorate this project.

1. Change the name of this project to WikiProject Senior Wikipedians.^[a]
2. Open membership in this project to users who are at least 60 years of age and have made at least 50 edits in the past year.^[b]
3. Open supporting membership in this project to users who are less than 60 years old but have made at least 50 edits in the past year and support the goals of this project.^[c]

Suggested goals for this project:

1. To support collaboration and communication among members for the advancement and improvement of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia movement.
2. To encourage older people, retired people, and soon-to-be-retired people to participate in Wikipedia both for the advancement of the encyclopedia and for their own personal enjoyment.
3. To encourage older people to share their experience and expertise for the improvement of Wikipedia.
4. To encourage older users to use their experience and expertise to help younger and less experienced users.
5. To encourage participation in local and regional Wikimedia events.
6. To sponsor Wikipedia meetings and classes at places where older people gather.
7. To advocate for the elimination of ageism and sexism in Wikipedia and the Wikimedia movement.
