Hi there, KRKwrites, and welcome to Women in Red. I'm glad you took up my invitation to join as you will now be able to benefit more directly from our activities. I realize you have had difficulty in following all the background information on Wikipedia but we have a summary of the essentials in connection with women's biographies in our Ten Simple Rules. I see you have quite a bit more to add to your draft of Abigail Larson but just let me know when you think it's ready for main space and I'll see how it looks. I hope that this will be the first of many more biographies of women as you are progressing very well. Please let me know if you run into any further difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:53, 11 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much, KRKwrites, for all the time and effort you have spent on your first article Abigail Larson. It's now on main space and I've given it a B rating as it contains lots of detail and is well sourced. I hope this will be the first of many more, whether or not under specific assignments. Please let me know if ever I can help you again. Happy editng!--Ipigott (talk) 08:00, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
While double-checking the article, I noticed you had specifically introduced British rather than Canadian/American spellings for colour/watercolour and centres but have left American spellings of honor/honorable. As the subject of the article is American, I would suggest you use American spelling.--Ipigott (talk) 10:21, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

We don't normally give these to newbies, however your article for your assignment for INF1005: Education and Outreach at the University of Toronto's iSchool is well above what Women in Red expect from new contributors. Impressive work and you attracted serious help and collaboration which is exactly how Wikipedia is created. Well done Victuallers (talk) 16:34, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply |

Hi there, I don't want to formally pick up the GA review for this article right now, but I thought I would point out a few prose things that you might want to address while you're waiting. 1: the lead is much shorter than a typical GA. If that's all you think is relevant for the lead, it might be a sign that there isn't actually much real content in the article. Maybe you can say something more about her style? 2: the "career" section in particular looks like a list of things she's done rather than a narrative summary. Like #1, this also makes me a bit wary that there's no "there" there. You've got a pretty thorough-looking list of credits at the end of the article, maybe some of the less-important items can be moved there? Or they could be grouped together thematically?
Good luck with it, and welcome! -- asilvering (talk) 18:25, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

On3 April 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Abigail Larson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Canadian League for Peace and Democracy organized a 10,000-person rally at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto to protest a 2,500-person fascist rally? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Abigail Larson. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Abigail Larson), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello KRKwrites:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in June 2024!
Running from June 1 to 30, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Going Back in Time! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 20 centuries by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
We hope to see you there!
