    Unspecified source/license for File:LDS Church logo - tur.jpeg

    edit

Thanks for uploading File:LDS Church logo - tur.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 15:45, 24 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mstf221! Your additions to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Turkey have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 21:46, 24 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions and creation of page The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Turkey. There are certain guidelines, laws, etc. that wikipdedia adheres to that can make it frustrating when you see content you placed removed. For example, as you may be awayre, unless there's proof of permission, wikipedia cannot publish content that is copyrighted, even if it was done in good intent; as Wikipedia must conform to laws of every applicable contry/territory. Others are based on Wikipedia community standards, for example, even though the church dictates otherwise, the wikipdia standard for naming outside of introduction is "LDS Church". Even though I don't agree with it, I've got to publish/edit it according to Wikipdedia standards. But if I don't do anything, it doesn't get told. Again, thank you so much for your contributions and don't be affraid to Be bold--Dmm1169 (talk) 03:17, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

    File permission problem with File:AnLDSChurchInTurkey.jpeg

    edit

Thanks for uploading File:AnLDSChurchInTurkey.jpeg, which you've attributed to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPOIR-l2fCA. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. plicit 06:38, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. Since it was short, I didn't think it would be such a big issue. (and I was too lazy to paraphrase it)
I'll try to be more careful next time Mstf221 (talk) 19:49, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Uness232. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Republican People's Party, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Uness232 (talk) 17:21, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Threads (social network) has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. Redraiderengineer (talk) 12:04, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to Threads (social network) has been removed or altered, as it appears to closely paraphrase a copyrighted source. Limited close paraphrasing or quotation is appropriate within reason, so long as the material is clearly attributed in the text. However, longer paraphrases which are not attributed to their source may constitute copyright violationorplagiarism, and are not acceptable on Wikipedia. Such content cannot be hosted here for legal reasons; please do not post it on any page, even if you plan to fix it later. You may use external websites or printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If you own the copyright to the text, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the copyright but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Redraiderengineer (talk) 13:37, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
