– Fayenatic London 20:32, 14 July 2016 (UTC)ReplyThank you for fixing links to Macbeth (opera), but hundreds are left. Will you fix those as well soon? I think in case of a move to a new name without a redirect, the links should be fixed first, before the move leads to nonsense in hundreds of cases. Hello, Pppery! I noticed you removed the deletion request from Draft:The Crimean slave trade with the motivation: "Sorry, I don't see any specific speedy deletion criterion this meets. Conduct allegations are not a reason for speedy deletion - take them up in the appropriate venues for them", so I was wondering if I might ask you: what would be the appropriate venues for them? I am concerned about this page that should be deleted for a number of reasons, but since I mainly write articles and rarely do anything else in Wikipedia, I am unaware to which page I should go, or which template to use. Could you be kind enough to help? It would be very much appreciated. My best greetings, --Aciram (talk) 08:39, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

template directly. Speedy deletion is only permitted for the various criteria that are explicitly described at WP:CSD; each criterion has one or more criterion-specific templates. If a page matches one of the CSD criteria, you should use one of the associated templates; if a page does not match any of the CSD criteria, it's not eligible for speedy deletion. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:29, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

For the ambiguous Bhavana (actress), existing redirect Bhavana (Malayalam actress) might work, though Bhavana (Kannada actress) appeared in one Malayalam film Otta. Fossa (animal) I think is correct, or at least acceptable: the alternative meaning is Fossa (genus) and both obey our conventions for disambiguating taxonomy: Mammal genera are often qualified by (genus), though there are a few (mammal)s in there and more specific qualifiers such as (bat) in the subcats. Hello, Pppery,
When you restore a draft that has been deleted due to CSD G13, you have to make a minor edit to the page or it is immediately eligible for speedy deletion again. There is a list of draft pages where this needs to be done at User:SDZeroBot/G13 eligible.
If you help out at WP:REFUND, you'll find most admins use User:SD0001/RFUD-helper to avoid having to handle this step manually. As far as I know, these "minor edits" after page restoration are just required for CSD G13s. But if you restore PRODs and articles deleted through AFDs, then those deletion tags need to be removed after restoration. Thanks very much. Liz Read! Talk! 01:33, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I reverted edits you made on three redirect pages--Sacramento-Arden-Arcade-Yuba City, CA-NV CSA, Marie-Anne de Bourbon-Condé (1678-1718) and Rugby-Bundesliga 2011-12--because they were broken redirects as the target articles that were changed were non-existent pages. Hey @Pppery I wanted to apologize for the mistake with the roster templates.
I was trying to update the rosters and just putting those rosters more in line with what other independent teams do which is just put the roster itself into the main team page instead of creating a template for it instead.
I don’t really know how the depletion process works so I figured it would be better for me to get more info on it.

Hi Pppery! I was wondering if there is some database report and/or quarry which tracks deletions under WP:NFCCE? It currently has a grandfather clause exempting things from before 13 July 2006, which strongly suggests the section is in need of updating. I would normally propose we just eliminate the grandfather clause, but I can't say I have heard of deletions as NFCC enforcement. (I am wondering whether simply directing people to CSD or FfD as appropriate would be more efficient/less CREEPy, and figured talking to people who use NFCCE is probably a good first step.) You wrote, in an edit summary: Restore redirect clobbered by draft
. I assume that you mean Draft:C-Infinity, which should now itself be a redirect, because I disambiguated it. (I considered tagging the draft with {{hatredir}} and decided that would be a mistake, because the redirect is for a technical mathematical term, which should have the dignity of being primary.) What clobbered what? What did you do? Robert McClenon (talk) 02:27, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
C-Infinity

with the delete-redirect
flag? The reason I ask is because one of my reasons for requesting the histsplit in the first place, rather than just recreating the redirect (which I didn’t then know had already been done), was so that its history correctly showed the date it had originally been created. At the moment, that creation history is at the wrong title, but (if I understand correctly) this would belatedly move the history back to its original title. I hope you don’t mind the question — I just wanted to get a second opinion before requesting anything, so that there’s less chance of me inadvertently messing anything else up. All the best, —a smart kitten[meow] 16:10, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello Pppery, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Yuga Labs, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yuga Labs.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|BluePenguin18}}

Unfortunately, I disagree with your assessment. The page was created as a nonsense filled fork of Elephant and should have simply been speedy deleted as such at the time. Instead, it was made into a redirect of a type we simply do not have (i.e. 'redirect to exactly the same name as the target article plus an additional word') and indefinitely protected. THOSE actions were 'out of process'. I'm not going to undelete a redirect which I'm convinced should never have existed in the first place. If you really feel otherwise you can take it to DRV... or simply create a new redirect at that page. Though, I'd urge you to consider that in the 18 years of its existence, that redirect accumulated exactly ZERO links in the article namespace. --CBD 06:11, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

You removed a speedy-delete tag from User:WikiWiz31 as there is no obvious mention of it being a sockpuppet. While a page just saying 'hi' is harmless, the block log states that the user is an unnamed LTA (and WP:G5 covers sockpuppetry as well). Hi, saw your recent participation at WT:BLIST and thought you might be the right one to ask. I recently warned an editor for adding what appears to be three malicious URLs, embedded within inline citations, which you can view in this series of edits. Think I closed out in time, so if you're going to test, be sure to use some kind of protected method to check them out!

First of all, thank you for completing the history merge I requested. Your comment in the edit summary that it's [n]ot strictly needed with only one author, and I suspect many admins would have declined this
has me suspecting I've asked for something strange. My thinking was that since my sandbox copy had a few intermediate edits in it and I only made it to figure out how to do the changes I wanted to do without turning the template documentation into a WP:BADHOUSE at any point, I'd ask for the history to be merged and then ask for WP:U1 so my changes and the reasons for them would show up in the history of the page itself and I wouldn't have a page sitting around in my userspace that's just an exact copy of another page that I don't need anymore. Basically like a pull request. I was just trying to minimize the amount of Investigation required for anyone looking at the history in the future to understand my changes, but is this considered Bad? To me, this split seems to fall under: "When to request a histmerge: A history merge is required for attribution purposes [...] where there are multiple editors at the old page. [...] While this is not an exhaustive list, any pages meeting the below criteria may be eligible for a histmerge: There are several editors in the page history at the original location"
Could you please help me understand why that doesn't apply here? (And if you can, please redirect me to the correct process)? Thanks! --Rlandmann (talk) 01:08, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, Pppery,
I noticed today that you run a lot of Quarry queries, as do I. However, the queries I run were "forked" from other editors' queries a long time ago and I don't understand how to code in Quarry although I've spent some time in the past learning how to code in other languages. Now, two queries that I ran for years without any problems won't run and give me error messages. I was wondering if you'd be willing to look them over and make any necessary corrections.
If you are too busy, I understand but I thought I'd ask in case you'd be willing to help. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:26, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
