This week marks one of the hardest editorial decisions I've had to make: Balancing the need for the reader to know about a situation, with the unique privacy considerations of that situation. I hope our articleonNewyorkbrad's retirement has done so.

In Brad's honor, an effort to raise the article on judge Learned Hand to a featured article has been organized on the article's talk page.
