Xelia Mendes-Jones is a British actor. He is best known for his main role as Dane in the Prime Video series Fallout,[1][2] and a role in the Prime Video fantasy series The Wheel of Time.[3]

Mendes-Jones also has a lead role in the upcoming film Havoc and appeared as a featured actor alongside Maisie Williams in the music video for "She's on My Mind" by Romy, released in December 2023.[4][5]

Early life

Mendes-Jones is half Indian[6] and grew up in London. He attended Coleridge Primary School[7] and North London Collegiate School.[8] He was a javelin thrower with London Heathside[9] and played youth football as a midfielder with Tottenham Hotspur.[10] Mendes-Jones went on to study Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic (ASNaC) at St Catharine's College, Cambridge.[11] He trained at Identity School of Acting.[6]

Personal life

PinkNews reported in 2024 that Mendes-Jones had been "very vocal about his preference" of he/they pronouns, and referred to himself as a "trans guy" in his Instagram bio earlier in that year.[2]
