It's time to set the record straight!!! Jack LaLanne came out with Instant Breakfast in the late 1950's in Oakland California It was sold on the Rawson Racks in the San Francisco Area. It was not instantized It had to be blended in a blender. Carnation was just beginning to Instanize powdered milk Hense: Carnation was contacted to Instantize the product, Jack LaLanne's Instant BReakfast. The product was mentioned in his pamphlet on Exercise and the Pure food and Drug came in and told us that we had to take it off the market because the pamphlet became part of the label and that was illegal. We then came out with REDUCE. Two years later Carnation came out with Instant Breakfast but with no pamphlet. At the same time Foremost came out with Instant Breakfast. They went to court to determine who was the owner of Instant Breakfast ...Ray RAwson of Rawson Racks, who was on the board of Foremost, came to us and gave The Jack LaLanne Company $25,000.00 for the rights to Instant Breakfast. It is my understanding from Ray Rawson, after the legal proceedings, the Judge ruled anyone can use Instant Breakfast. Check it out in court papers of the 1960's. I can prove we were the first and Jack LaLanne's IDEA because I have the originals in my possession PLUS film of our commercials on TV before 1964.Plus catalogs.
