Madifushi (Dhivehi: މަޑިފުށި) is one of the inhabited islands of Thaa Atoll.
The island was severely damaged by the 2004 tsunami, however the inhabitants refused to move out and it still remains inhabited, almost every household was rebuilt by the help of foreign aid by 2014.
The island is 201.97 km (125 mi; 109 nmi) south of the country's capital, Malé.[1]
