Samsonia is a genusofGram-negative bacteria in the family Enterobacteriaceae. Species within this genus were originally found in the bark of diseased Erythrina trees.[1] Among bacterial plant pathogens within the Enterobacteriaceae, Samsonia species may be most closely related to Pectobacterium species.[2]
