For reference Makers Mark bourbon produced in Kentucky spells their product as "whisky", while Old Forester distillery makes "whiskey". Both are excellent American whiskeys. The spelling is simply a relic of the differences of language between Ireland and Scotland. See: Jameson Irish *Whiskey* vs The Glenlivet Scotch *Whisky*.undoTag: Visual edit
