I have removed the entry for 'casualties of July 7 bombings' from the list of anniversaries of deaths. None of the casualties was a previous notable with a wiki page of his/her own. Additionally several of the casualties died of their injuries on later days.
The horrific loss of life that the bombings caused is understood. However Wiki should not be used emotively, subjectively, or as a book of condolence. Martyn Smith10:08, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. The victims of the July 7 bombings are included in the "events" section when the bombing itself is (rightfully) remembered. Horrific as the bombings were, they don't rate a double entry. Nolefan3223:59, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The reference contains no useful information, there are just links to each of the countries and the historical background is impossible to find. --ColoradoZ (talk) 05:16, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Tanabata in Japan occurs on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar (mid august), not the 7th day of July, someone familiar with the wiki days of the year project should fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.167.101.254 (talk) 19:35, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I posted a similar comment on another page today, and was corrected. If you read further in the Tanabata article, it states that it's common now for the festival to be observed on July 7, rather than on the traditional date of the 7th lunar month. LarryJeff (talk) 19:44, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Continuing the ongoing effort to reduce the size of the Births and Deaths sections to make them manageable, I've removed some celebrities with few or no articles in other wikipedias, moving the entries to the appropriate Year in Topic article if they were not already present. This is in accordance with the guidelines. Deb (talk) 11:54, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
