The Sooners finished the season with a 14–11 overall record, and finished third in the Big Eight Conference with a 9–5 conference record.^[2] They were coached by Doyle Parrack in his fifth season as head coach of the Sooners. They played their home games at McCasland Field HouseinNorman, Oklahoma.
