The 2023 Cheshire West and Chester Council election took place on 4 May 2023 to elect members of Cheshire West and Chester Council in England. This was on the same day as other local elections , including contested elections in the civil parishes of Broxton , Dutton , Great Boughton [b] , Mouldsworth and Tarporley and the towns of Frodsham [c] , Northwich [d] and Winsford .[6]
The council had been under no overall control prior to the election, being run by a Labour minority administration. Labour won a majority on the council at this election, taking 39 of the 70 seats.[7]
