Al-MuṣawwirorMuṣawwir (Arabic: المصور) is one of the names of God (Allah) in Islam, meaning "The Shaper," "The Bestower of Forms," or "The Fashioner."[1] This appellation signifies that God is the Creator of all things, meticulously shaping and arranging everything in accordance with His wisdom. It emphasizes the islamic belief about God's role as the ultimate Architect, skillfully crafting every aspect of existence with profound wisdom and precision.[1] This name also signifies the muslim belief of God's profound ability to shape things precisely as He desires, whenever He chooses to do so. It underscores His unlimited capacity to mold and design the universe and what is in it according to His will at any given moment.[2] Lastly, this name underscores that God, in Islam, is the creator of a rich array of forms, encomposing contrasts in size, beauty, gender, and every facet of existence. It highlights His pivotal role as the shaper of each individual, intricately molding the development of infants within their mother's wombs.[3]
(هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُ ٱلْبَارِئُ ٱلْمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ)
He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
