Anaxyelidae is a family of incense cedar wood wasps in the order Hymenoptera . It contains only one living genus, Syntexis [1] [2] [3] Early Cretaceous . Syntexis lay eggs in the sapwood of conifers, preferring recently burnt wood.[4]
