Andrew Thomas Huang is a Chinese-American visual artist and film director[2] known for his music videos for artists Björk,[3] FKA twigs and Atoms for Peace.[4] In 2019, Huang was nominated for a Grammy for his music video for FKA twigs, "Cellophane."[5]
His films and videos have been commissioned by and exhibited at The Museum of Modern Art, NYC;[6] MoMA PS1;[7] The Sydney Opera House, Sydney;[8] and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.[9]
With his strength in world-building, Huang continues his foray into narrative with his first feature film Tiger Girl which has received support from Sundance[10] and Film Independent.[11] His narrative short "Kiss of the Rabbit God"[12] premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2019.[13]
Huang graduated with a degree in Fine Art and Animation from the University of Southern California.[14] He identifies as queer.[15]
In October 2023, Huang signed the Artists4Ceasefire open letter to Joe Biden, President of the United States, calling for a ceasefire of the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.[16]
